Best ATV cargo boxes, rack bags & dry bags
Hard boxes, soft rack bags, dry bags and tie-downs for loading an ATV for a multi-day trip, with the rack-rating math that decides what you can carry.
Quick answer
For a weekend camp, a soft rear-rack bag plus a roll-top dry bag and cam straps is the lightest setup; a lockable hard box is better for tools and valuables. Stay well under your rack rating (check the model database) and weigh the packed bags.

How to choose
- Start with your rack rating. Rear racks on the models in our database range from about 176 to 240 lb; bumps multiply the force, so stay well under. Look up your model.
- Hard box: lockable and weatherproof, but heavier and sits higher. Soft rack bag: lighter and flexible; pair with a dry bag liner. Pelican-style cases: best for electronics and first aid, but heavy.
- Check the footprint. Compare the listing dimensions to your rack and passenger space on 2-up machines.
- Straps: stretch straps hold light loads; use cam or ratchet straps for anything heavy and check them at every stop.
